Here are a few words from Elmo himself to share with you what he is doing now.

"I lecture to clubs and schools when asked. I lecture with some of my films to raise money for our local theater, the Lions Club, the Rotary Club and our church.
"I started the Capella in November 2005 and the estimated completion date is November 2008.
"Lorraine, my wonderful wife of 64 years, passed away in August 2004. My son Toby passed away that same year. "Snooks," Avah Gene Wiggins, is my youngest sister and is now 86 years old. My health is good. In June 2008 I had a knee replacement but expect to be fully recovered by the end of 2008."
My life in Brookings is as busy as I want it to be. I attend local thearter, concerts of both classical and modern music and love to dine out with special friends. I go to the local art shows and enjoy the small gathering of both artists and musicians. I love reading and like to watch a few films on DVD. I'm a member of the Motion Picture Academy, the Film Writers Guild and the Screenwriters Guild. I was active in various capacities in the film industry from 1933 to 1986. I lived and worked in Europe for a total of 18 years.
"I love life, I love people. I'm headed for age 100 and beyond."
Elmo Williams
He has little contact with friends in the entertainment industry other than an ongoing correspondence, but now has many new friends in Brookings and vicinity. He recently celebrated his 95th birthday with a typical bash at his home overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
He no longer travels, but each year some friends from various parts of the world make the journey to this remote corner of Oregon. They always enjoy riding over old trails and exploring new ones here in Oregon.
